After setting an NBA regular-season record of 73 wins and losing a controversial 2016 NBA Finals, the Dubs sacrificed depth for star power and added arguably the greatest scoring threat in all-time in Kevin Durant. They went on to win two championships before injuries plagued them in 2019 against the Raptors, with Durant’s departure coming the next year. It was dominance unlike anything the league had seen since Michael Jordan’s two three-peats, a feat that none have come close to achieving since.

We’re coming up on almost a month now since the news broke that Nico Mannion would be taking his talents to Italy.

On August 10 it was announced that Mannion agreed to sign with Virtus Bologna of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A and the EuroCup. The move was made as Mannion felt that rather than being a two-way player, which is the type of contract he was on with Golden State, he could better develop his game playing in Italy rather than bouncing back and forth from the NBA to the G-League. The Warriors still retain his restricted free agency rights should Mannion return to the NBA.

After five years co-hosting ESPN’s hit debate show, First Take, on Wednesday Max Kellerman said his final goodbye.

ESPN hinted at moving in another direction with the show in August, and it was no secret that Kellerman’s hosting partner, Steven A. Smith, was also ready for another co-host. Stephen A. Smith has wanted Kellerman off the show for years, as Kellerman had a “smartest guy in the room” persona, Smith was looking for more of a “debating challenger”. Smith got his way, although he said there were no hard feelings and even wished Max the best on his final show with a heartfelt message.
