The Golden State Warriors are a world-class organization. They own the season with the most wins in NBA history at 73, but it’s been their playoff success that has defined them since their first NBA championship in decades. Since 2015, the Warriors have made it to 5 straight Finals until a playoff hiatus due to a variety of injuries, and in that time span, they have an untouchable record:

This series win against the Nuggets makes it 19 of 21 series wins, having been 18 of 20 before this season. Those two lost series? The 2016 Finals determined by Draymond Green’s suspension and Steph Curry’s injury, and the 2019 Finals determined by Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson suffering injuries.

With one of the most impressive playoff records in recent years, the Warriors’ winning ways defined the 2010 decade. They were the most dominant team in the regular season, even when they looked far too relaxed, and it showed in the playoffs that they somehow had an extra gear to them. Powered by Curry, Green, and Klay Thompson, the Bay Area has been elevated to a city of champions.

The Warriors will look to improve that record to 20 of 22 based on the winners of the Grizzlies-Timberwolves series which will conclude later this week. Likely, the Dubs will be playing Memphis, a team that is very beatable even if it will be a challenge. They could improve to 22 for 24 if they win the championship this season as well, looking like more of a possibility given their dominance in this past series.
