Give Juan Toscano-Anderson All the Money

The days that Juan Toscano-Anderson got DNP’s in the box score are long gone. After a career night against the Cavaliers (20 points on 8-9 FG and 3-4 3PT, 7 rebounds, 3 assists), JTA has become arguably the most productive player coming off the bench for the Warriors. What I love about him is that no one can out-hustle him out there. And I mean no one. He’s pretty much a current version of Matt Barnes, finding a way to make an impact in any way possible. A utility man who can make positive contributions on both ends of the floor.

The longest winning streak of the season at 4 straight (along with the Warriors moving back to .500 and into 9th place) is definitely due to the flurry of Curry’s happening lately but also due to Juan who has been a vital part of the rotation. The second unit of Toscano-Anderson, Jordan Poole, Damion Lee, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney has been working extremely well. Kerr has found the right formula and it is thanks to the glue guy, JTA.

It’s really hard to believe that Juan is still on a two-way contract and only making $450,000 this season but that’s about to change real quick. I don’t care how long his contract will be (preferably for a long time), give this man whatever he wants cause he deserves it all. A guaranteed contract is the least this franchise can give him in exchange for what he has given the Warriors and the entire Bay Area. He has inspired everyone that no matter where you come from or whatever path you take to get where you want to go, all things are possible through hard work and dedication in perfecting your craft.

I wouldn’t even be surprised if JTA were to take a pay cut just so he can stay with Golden State. That’s how much this team means to him and vice-versa. He has become a Bay Area icon, a public figure that kids from Oakland, San Francisco, San Mateo, San Jose can look up to proudly. A true Warrior.
