Extremely Rare Anta Klay Thompson 1’s

With the recent news that NBA players are able to wear any colored sneakers on the hardwood this upcoming season, I wanted to break out these ridiculous Anta Klay Thompson 1’s that I’m sure not many people have ever seen before. I don’t know too much about the specifics of this sneaker but what I do know is that it was a special colorway for a Chinese women’s basketball team and was never released to the public. This colorway is pretty out there and polka dots on the inside absolutely go crazy.

As most of us may know, or if you didn’t, Klay Thompson is the face of Anta Basketball. Signing a 10-year deal with the Chinese sneaker company, Anta has hopes of making Klay their Michael Jordan of the brand. Anta is a brand not many people may know of here in the states as Rajon Rondo is the only other NBA player signed under the brand. But with the Klay signing, both parties struck gold. Anta had their superstar of the future and Klay could earn upwards of $80 million for his 10-year deal making him one of the highest paid sneaker endorsed NBA players.

I personally love Klay’s decision to sign with Anta. He brings awareness to a brand that is huge in China and gets his own signature sneakers which not many players in the NBA can say they have or ever will. We’ve all seen the hilarious China Klay videos every summer and they just keep getting better. The guy is a 3x Champion, a character who just loves to play ball, have fun and literally live his best life.

I look forward to seeing what crazy sneakers the Warriors and the rest of the NBA will bring to the court this season. Thank you to the NBA for allowing the players to creatively express themselves on the court through their footwear. This season is going to be the best in sneaker heat.
