In 2016 Under Armour released the Curry 1 LUX pack. This pack was UA’s dive into the lifestyle market. Using premium leathers and suedes, UA went all out and dressed up Stephen Curry’s first signature sneaker. 5 colorways were released. 4 high tops and 1 low, as seen here. Only 600 pairs of each color were made. At a retail price point of $140-150, you would expect these sneakers to go for way more considering the quality and craftsmanship. But UA stayed true to the consumer and made a premium and affordable sneaker for the masses. Take notes Nike and Adidas…take notes.

In my opinion, UA absolutely killed it with the execution and materials on this collection. I haven’t seen this quality on sneakers in a long time and UA definitely wanted to give this sneaker a premium and luxurious feel. The suede is like butter and the leather used is soft and smells of true quality. Us sneakerheads all know that smell very well. It’s heavenly.  I have 2 more colorways from this pack which I will showcase later on but this Desert Tan colorway hands down is my favorite of the pack. Not the rarest or hardest to find sneaker but the execution, color and silhouette of this shoe easily make it one of my favorite Curry sneakers of all time.
